A New Zealand national was arrested on Saturday for reportedly taking pictures of the military vessel without permission at PN Sacharia Naval Base, Walvis Bay in the Erongo region. The weekend crime report of the Namibian Police Force on Sunday indicated that the man, aged 47, at about 18h00 entered the military base through the gate and took pictures of the military without permission. He was later released on warning. In a separate incident, a complainant was reportedly robbed of properties valued at N.dollars 20 900 after a suspect gained entry into the complainant's residence at East Meersig, Walvis Bay on Saturday. The stolen properties include a laptop, a cellphone, a pair of pants, and N.dollars 600 in cash. No recovery nor arrest has been made yet. Police investigations in both matters continue.
