Global Citizen announce the Economic Development Assembly: Advancing Africa's Future, taking place in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, on October 9-10, 2024. This event, co-hosted with Bridgewater Associates and supported by the Ivorian government, will bring together heads of state, private sector leaders, and civil society to drive major investments toward sustainable development in Africa. The Assembly will call on the G20 to increase its contributions to the International Development Association (IDA) by 20 to 25% by the end of 2024, aiming for a target of $120 billion.
