Sharjah - The Kingdom of Morocco was named the guest of honor at the 43th Sharjah International Book Fair, which will be enhanced by a rich and varied cultural program, highlighting the various aspects of Moroccan culture in all its diversity. Themed 'It starts with a book,' this year's event, scheduled from November 6 to 17, features a rich program ranging from history and heritage to the Kingdom's contemporary culture, academic research and literary creation. Speaking at a press conference, Morocco's ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Ahmed Tazi, said the choice of the Kingdom of Morocco as guest of honor at the show reflects the high quality of the brotherly relations between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates. These relations, founded by late HM Hassan II and late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, have been renewed and strengthened by HM King Mohammed VI and HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The Moroccan participation program at this fair includes meetings highlighting cultural cooperation between Morocco and the United Arab Emirates, the book industry in Morocco, as well as debates and meetings with philosophers, thinkers, writers, critics, academics, poets and authors.
