The Adoato Executive Club, in partnership with Mr. IK Acheampong, the Assemblyman for the Adoato community, has embarked on a tree-planting exercise to fight emerging climate change and safeguard the environment. Mr. Godfred Osei Tutu Bempah, Chairman of the Adoato Executive Club, explained that the vision and mission of the club are to complement government efforts to bring improvement and the development of the community through selfless and voluntary contributions. According to him, they have planted over one hundred and fifty (150) trees, which include oranges, coconuts, mangoes, and royal palms, in the primaries, junior high schools (JHS), and the principal streets of the Adoato Community. He noted that, as a club of energetic youth, they are determined to contribute their quota to uplift the image of their community and urged other youth groups in Kumasi to emulate the example of the Adoato Executive Club to make their various communities a conducive place to live. I.K. Acheampong also expressed gr atitude to the members of the club for their commitment to the development of their community, which deserves emulation from every youth group. According to him, he decided to partner with the club because of their readiness and commitment to help the community since its initiation in 2019. He noted that as the Assemblyman for the area, he is always ready to partner with anyone or group of people with good intentions for their community and urged opinion leaders, especially chiefs and politicians, to support the laudable course by coming to their aid to do more. Malam Ramadan Muhammed Sharafuden, the Imam of the Adoato Muslim community who participated in the exercise, commended the executive club for their commitment to ensure that they prioritize the needs of the community in saving the environment through the tree planting exercise.
