The populations of Bogandé removed and pruned, Saturday August 17, 2024, certain bushes and dense trees located on the banks of national road 18 on the Nagaré-Kongaye axis, likely to serve as hiding places for the terrorists. Destroying all the potential hiding places of terrorists on the Nagaré-Kongaye axis in order to improve the visibility of users for greater security, this is the task that the inhabitants of the town of Bogandé assigned themselves on the morning of Saturday August 17 2024. Armed with machetes and axes, men, women and young people stormed the edges of national road 18 to eliminate all places likely to serve as hiding places for terrorists around the village of Dagadou, a locality located around ten kilometers from Bogandé. According to well-informed sources, terrorists use this area to pass through and sometimes carry out irregular checks on users. The fighting forces of BIR 19, with the local VDP, ensured the security of the site during the work. Source: Burkina Information Agency
