Ouagadougou: Burkinabe Prime Minister, Dr Apollinaire Kyelem, explained Thursday to a Belgian diplomat that people in bad faith telling lies about the fight against terrorism were taken to the front to see ' the true realities.' 'There are people in bad faith who report untruths about the battles taking place in the fight against terrorism. We are bringing them to the front so that they can absorb the real realities on the ground,' Burkina Faso Prime Minister Dr Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla declared on Thursday. Dr Kyelem, whose comments were reported by the Prime Minister, was responding to the Belgian ambassador at the end of his mission, Jean Jacques Quairiat, who 'asked him about freedoms in Burkina Faso'. 'We are tired of the condescension of Westerners towards African countries,' added the head of the Burkinabe government, according to the same source. Me Apollinaire Kyelem from Tambèla insisted on the need for relations to be for the benefit of the people and not according to the people that Weste rners want to appoint to be in power at the head of African states. 'Burkina Faso does not interfere in the affairs of other countries, so Burkina Faso in turn wishes that other countries do not interfere in its internal affairs,' he insisted. As a reminder, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, who took office in September 2022, has made the fight against terrorism, endogenous development, multipolar and win-win partnership and respect for the sovereignty of Burkina Faso his priorities.
