Addis Ababa: A package that facilitates the participation of the Ethiopian Diaspora in various investment sectors is under preparation, the Ethiopian Diaspora Service disclosed today. Ethiopian Diaspora Service Deputy Director-General, Belayneh Aqnaw said that efforts are underway to modernize the institution's activities with a view to modernizing and expanding its multifaceted services to the diaspora community. According to him, the service has been working to develop various packages that enhances the participation of the diaspora in investment in collaboration with regional states. The package under preparation will help the diaspora community to identify areas and easily engage in investments as it clearly shows the opportunities and incentives in regions. The Ethiopian Diaspora Service revealed recently that over 6 billion USD has been secured in remittances during the just concluded Ethiopian fiscal year. Source: Ethiopian News Agency
