Addis Ababa: Chief of General Staff of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF), Field Marshal Berhanu Jula, met with a Moroccan military delegation today in Addis Ababa. The meeting focused on strengthening military ties between the two nations. On the occasion, Field Marshal Berhanu acknowledged the long-standing relationship between Ethiopia and Morocco, while also recognizing past disruptions. He expressed optimism about this visit serving as a turning point, re-establishing communication and fostering a new chapter in the military cooperation. Major General Aziz on his behalf commended on the strength of the Ethiopian military, highlighting its effectiveness in peacekeeping and other missions. He emphasized the importance of collaboration with the Ethiopian army and expressed hope that this discussion would pave the way for renewed partnership on peace and security issues. These discussions and future exchanges aim to lay a strong foundation for a formal military agreement, built on the spirit of African brotherhood. The meeting follows a recent visit by an Ethiopian defense ministry delegation to Morocco. The Moroccan delegation will tour Ethiopian facilities and conduct official visits during their stay, according to ENDF foreign relations and military cooperation Director General, Major General Teshome Gemechu.
