Rabat - The Second Edition of the Marrakech Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean Region and Gulf, jointly organized by the House of Councillors and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), will be held on July 11-12, under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI. The organization of this second edition of the forum reflects PAM's commitment to strengthening parliamentary cooperation to create a more integrated and sustainable economic and financial area between Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf countries, the House of Councillors said in a press release. The forum, whose founding edition took place two years ago in Marrakech, is an ideal opportunity for parliamentarians and founding PAM partners to interact with political and economic stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as academia and civil society, the same source added. The second edition will focus on two main themes, namely "the transition to green energy" and "supporting entrepreneurship and small and medium-sized enterprises in this process". The participants will discuss ways and mechanisms to face the current challenges of producing and accessing affordable, sustainable and clean energy in the Mediterranean and Gulf regions, with a focus on regional solutions specifically designed to support entrepreneurship, small and medium-sized enterprises and economic growth, according to the same source.
