Bauchi: The Federation of Muslim Women's Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN), Bauchi State Chapter, joined the global community in celebrating the 2025 edition of World Teachers' Day. The event took place at the FOMWAN Model Nursery, Primary, and Secondary School in Bauchi on Saturday.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the association honoured 26 teachers for their 12 years of dedicated service, commitment, and excellence in shaping young minds. The Chairperson of the Education Sub-Committee, Hajiya Fatsuma Mohammed, stated that the awards were meant to recognise the teachers' resilience and devotion to quality education.
In her remarks, FOMWAN Amira, Hajiya Habiba Usman, described teachers as the bedrock of all professions and urged them to sustain their efforts in nurturing future leaders. Mr. Aliyu Mahmood, speaking on behalf of the awardees, expressed appreciation for the leadership of the association in recognising their commitment. He pledged that teachers would continue to innovate in the teaching and learning process to provide a better and more conducive learning environment.
