KEETMANSHOOP: A 33-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself with a cloth to the ceiling of the house she shared with her boyfriend at Aussenkehr on Monday. Namibian Police Force, crime investigations coordinator for ||Kharas region, Deputy Commissioner, Nikodemus Mbango in a crime report issued to Nampa on Monday said the deceased was identified as Mashe Kambungu and her next of kin are aware of her death. The alleged suicide occurred on Monday morning at the farm and Kambungu was discovered by her boyfriend around 08h30, he said. 'It is alleged that the deceased was left by her boyfriend in the room sleeping when he went to work in the early hours, however, when he returned, he found her hanging from the roof with a cloth around her neck, lifeless,' Mbango added. He further said no suicide note was found, but the police suspect foul play and investigations into the matter continue. 'The remains are to be transported to Keetmanshoop for an autopsy to be conducted and circumstances su rrounding the incident require an in-depth investigation whilst waiting for postmortem examination results,' he added.
