Rabat - Thundershowers accompanied by hail and gusty winds are expected from Thursday to Sunday in several Moroccan provinces, the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced on Wednesday. Heavy showers, expected to exceed 50 mm over 24 hours, are forecast from Thursday 3 p.m. to Sunday at 11 p.m. in Es-Smara, Assa-Zag and Tata, the DGM pointed out in an early alert, 'to be followed by weather alert reports providing further details on the intensity and spatio-temporal range'. Heavy thundershowers are also expected in the provinces of Ouarzazate, Guelmim, Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Boujdour and Taroudant during the same period, the same source added.
