Johannesburg - Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rachid Talbi El Alami, took part on Wednesday in the 2nd Annual Conference of Speakers of African Parliaments, being held on September 18-20 at the Pan-African Parliament (PAP) headquarters in Johannesburg. The conference is being held in the context of the Pan-African legislative institution's September session and the meeting of its Standing Committees and other bodies. This new session takes place under the African Union's theme for 2024: 'Educate an African fit for the 21st Century: Building resilient education systems for increased access to inclusive, lifelong, quality, and relevant learning in Africa'. The Pan-African Parliament is a consultative assembly of the African Union, made up of deputies from the member countries of the African Union.
