The National Sports Authority (NSA)-Ashanti has released new images of the Baba Yara Stadium pitch, which has recovered its lush green look ahead of the Black Stars' game against Angola. Per images posted by the NSA-Ashanti on X (formerly Twitter), the pitch appears to be in good condition with the grass looking healthy. The pitch has undergone an intense revamp to get it in shape after hosting a church event in June 2024. The robust work follows assurances from the NSA representatives in the Ashanti Region, who vowed to get the pitch to the required standard after the five-day church event left it in a devastating condition. "We have a robust plan, a crack field, and a maintenance team to recover the pitch and restore the facility in general in record time throughout August. Stakeholders can rest assured," the NSA Ashanti Region stated in a post on X. The Black Stars will host Angola in Kumasi on September 5, 2024, before visiting Niger on September 9. Source: Ghana Web
