Reforms Driven by Royal Impetus Make Morocco Regional ‘Model’ (American Foreign Policy Council)

Washington - Thanks to HM King Mohammed VI's enlightened vision, Morocco implemented major reforms that make it 'a model' in the region, said Vice-President of the American Foreign Policy Council, Ilan Berman. In a statement to MAP on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of HM King Mohammed VI's accession to the Throne of His Glorious Ancestors, Berman stated that Morocco is evolving very fast in terms of social development and implementing reforms led in different fields. The international relations expert cited the modernization projects launched in the economic sphere, the Family Code reform, the New Development Model for the Southern Provinces, and the Kingdom's 'very constructive' contribution to Africa. 'All this has been made possible thanks to the leadership of His Majesty the King,' emphasized the Vice-President of the American Foreign Policy Council, who lauded 'a coherent and very thought-out Royal vision.' Turning to relations between Morocco and the United States, the expert noted that the pa rtnership between the two countries, built on 'solid foundations,' is clearly thriving thanks to the strategy articulated by His Majesty the King. 'Thanks to its active diplomacy, the Kingdom is establishing itself as a reliable partner of the United States in the service of peace and prosperity at regional level and on the African continent,' he added.
