Personal Data: Benin’s Delegation, Morocco’s CNDP Exchange Expertise

Rabat - A delegation from Benin's Personal Data Protection Authority (APDP) is currently on a working visit to Morocco, with a focus on exchanging experience and expertise with Morocco's National Control Commission for the Protection of Personal Data (CNDP). "This friendly working visit is part of a partnership signed in 2022 between the two institutions," APDP's President Luciano Hounkponou told MAP. The meeting aims to "revisit this partnership, take stock of future areas of cooperation and above all benefit from the Commission's vast experience," he pointed out, adding that his country would like to draw inspiration from CNDP experience with a view to implement it. In a similar statement, CNDP President Omar Seghrouchni said that the purpose of the visit is to strengthen exchange of experience and ensure a mutual transfer of skills. He stated that the two institutions work together on the African level, noting that relations between the CNDP and the APDP are long-standing and marked by exchanged visits on both sides.
