Parliament: HM the King Affirms Sahara Issue Management Now Based on Firmness, Proactivity – Political Analyst

Rabat - HM King Mohammed VI affirmed in his speech at the opening of the autumn session of the parliament on Friday that Morocco's approach to handling the Sahara issue has shifted to one of firmness and proactivity, said political scientist El Moussaoui Ajlaoui. Speaking to MAP, Ajlaoui stressed that Morocco, under the enlightened leadership of HM the King, has broken with the reactive approach to the Sahara issue in favor of a proactive, firm and proactive approach. According to him, the Royal Speech highlights the favorable momentum of the Moroccan Sahara issue, in the wake of growing international support for the Autonomy Initiative and the Kingdom's sovereignty over its southern provinces. He noted that the Sovereign also insists on the importance of explaining the fundamentals of Morocco's position to the small number of countries that continue to contradict the logic of the law and deny the facts of history. This mission, Ajlaoui noted, is not just a matter for official diplomacy, but also for parli amentary and partisan diplomacy. Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
