Ouagadougou: The coordination of professional organizations of Kadiogo parking lot managers (COPGP/K) was created on Saturday, with a view to better structuring the field of safety of two-wheeled vehicles and vehicles. 'Car park managers have always had difficulties in managing car park affairs. In this sense, we told ourselves that there is a need to organize ourselves to bring order to the sector,' declared the president of coordination, Ibrahim Barry, after the general assembly. With 24 members, the new COPGP/K office's mission, according to the president, is to work to improve safety in the management of parking lots in the Central region. It intends, legally, to help managers and their customers in the event of theft or loss of equipment, through procedures with the competent structures, confided Ibrahim Barry. 'With this office, there will be enough changes in the management of parking lots and customers will be compensated in the event of damage,' he said. To be operational, Mr. Barry says his pri ority is the preparation of statutory documents with a view to obtaining the coordination receipt. The representative of the minister in charge of trade, Tassambédo Pamoussa, welcomed the coordination approach which, according to him, will contribute to better structuring of the parking sector. Mr. Tassambédo invited parking lot managers to conduct their business with respect for the consumer. 'We want them to work with professionalism and patriotism while respecting the prices established by the ministry,' concluded Pamoussa Tassambédo. Source: Burkina Information Agency
