Paris - Reigning world champion and Olympic champion Soufiane El Bakkali on Monday won the first round of the 3000 Steeplechase at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. El Bakkali crossed the finish line in a time of 8:17.90, to advance to the 3000 Steeplechase final, which will take place on Wednesday, August 7 at the Stade de France.
