Nigeria: the World Bank approves $1.57 billion to strengthen human capital

The World Bank has approved three operations totaling $1.57 billion to support the Nigerian government in strengthening its human capital. These initiatives aim to improve the health of women, children, and adolescents, enhance resilience to the effects of climate change, and improve dam safety and irrigation. The funding includes $500 million for the HOPE-GOV program, $570 million for HOPE-PHC, and $500 million for the SPIN project.
