Amman - The Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, held meetings on Wednesday in Amman with several of his Arab counterparts, as well as with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, on the sidelines of his participation in the extraordinary session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports. Bensaid met with the Bahraini Minister of Youth, the Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, the Libyan Minister of Youth, the Palestinian Minister of Youth and Sports, the Jordanian Minister of Youth and the UAE Minister of Youth. These meetings focused in particular on strengthening bilateral relations and joint cooperation, as well as on ways to better serve youth in the Arab world. On this occasion, Bensaid presented to his Arab counterparts the projects undertaken by Morocco to serve youth issues, notably the "Youth Pass", the "Motatawi3" (volunteer) program, the Morocco Youth Prize as well as projects aiming to strengthen infrastructure for young people. The Minister als o discussed with his Arab counterparts the situation in the region and the latest developments and their impact on young people and their future, stressing the importance of coordination within regional and international bodies to better serve youth issues. In the same context, Bensaid met with the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who is leading the Arab League delegation to the extraordinary session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports.
