Morocco, Guinea-Bissau Ink Several MoUs in Laayoune

Laayoune - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, and the Bissau-Guinean Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Communities, Carlos Pinto Pereira, signed several legal instruments on Tuesday in Laayoune at the conclusion of the 3rd session of the Morocco-Bissau-Guinean Joint Cooperation Commission. Welcoming the spirit of fraternity and mutual understanding that marked the work of this meeting, Bourita and Pereira proceeded to sign an agreement on mutual administrative assistance in customs matters, an agreement on road transport of passengers and goods, and an agreement on the reciprocal recognition of driver's licenses. There is also a cooperation agreement in the field of zoo-sanitary protection of livestock, a memorandum of understanding in the field of justice, a memorandum of understanding on commercial cooperation, a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of integrated water resource management, and a memor andum of understanding in the fields of spatial planning, urban planning, housing, and city policy. A memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of information and communication was also signed, along with a memorandum of understanding in the fields of youth and women's activities, a memorandum of understanding in the fields of sports and training of executives, and a framework cooperation agreement in the field of vocational training. The two ministers also signed a framework cooperation agreement on the granting of academic scholarships, internships, and expertise sharing, a twinning agreement in the training of health professionals, and an implementation program in the field of crafts and social and solidarity economy for the period 2024-2026. Bourita and Pereira also expressed satisfaction with the results of this important meeting, which allowed for the identification of various projects and cooperation actions to be carried out jointly to inject new dynamics into the cooperation relation s between Morocco and Guinea-Bissau.
