Nouakchott - Mauritanian President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani received, on Thursday in Nouakchott, Morocco's Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch. This audience took place following Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani's investiture ceremony for a second five-year term, during which Akhannouch represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI. In a statement to MAP following this audience, attended by Morocco's ambassador to Nouakchott Hamid Chabar, Akhannouch said that he informed the Mauritanian President of His Majesty the King's determination to strengthen cooperation between the two countries. Akhannouch also conveyed the Sovereign's congratulations to the Mauritanian President on his re-election, and His wishes for further progress and prosperity for the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The Head of Government stressed that the Mauritanian President expressed, during the audience, his firm desire to consolidate the brotherly relations between the two countries and to further develop them in the interests of the two b rotherly peoples. Akhannouch also said that Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani asked him to convey to His Majesty the King his greetings and wishes for further prosperity for the Kingdom. Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
