NDjamena: The Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition has successfully concluded a two-day workshop in NDjamena, Chad. The workshop, titled "Effective Implementation of Security Council Resolutions, United Nations Conventions, and Relevant International Standards," is part of the coalition's ongoing efforts under the fourth phase of the Sahel Program.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the closing ceremony of the workshop was attended by Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghidi, the Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition. The workshop was led by Yasser Al-Tayfi, a specialist in combating the financing of terrorism and money laundering. It was tailored for a target audience that included employees from regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, financial institutions, auditors, policymakers, government officials, and compliance officers.

This workshop is part of a broader initiative by the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition, aimed at enhancing regional security in the Sahel countries, which include Chad, Niger, Mali, Mauritania, and Burkina Faso. The outcomes of these sessions are expected to foster institutional integration, modernize regulatory policies, and develop skilled national capacities to tackle the security challenges linked to terrorist financing. These efforts are aimed at boosting security, stability, and development across the region.
