Abuja: The South Africa-based Training for Transformation (TNT) Foundation, on Tuesday, emphasized that training is crucial for self-discovery and development, urging that it be given priority attention. This assertion was made during a workshop organized by the foundation in Festac Town, Lagos State.

According to News Agency of Nigeria, the workshop aimed to inform participants about the foundation's operations and to recruit individuals for an upcoming training session focused on environmental economy. Ms. Talent Nthambi, the Lead Facilitator, stated that TNT is designed to equip individuals with the knowledge and activities necessary to develop their minds and capitalize on opportunities within their environments.

Ms. Nthambi pointed out that Africa is endowed with resources capable of sustaining its populace, yet these resources remain underutilized. "Hunger is prevalent in the society because people lack the knowledge to exploit their environments and make informed choices that can foster the common good," she explained.

Another facilitator, Ms. Ese Ajuyah, highlighted that the training is crafted to transform participants into change agents, encouraging them to act rightly and initiate reforms in their communities.

Mrs. Olutosin Adebowale, Founder of the Sisters City in Owo, Ondo State, and a beneficiary of TNT training, remarked that transformation is an ongoing process rather than a one-time project. She emphasized the importance of continually updating knowledge to remain relevant. TNT's training begins with addressing issues at the family level, such as domestic violence and cultural limitations that infringe on rights, particularly for women. It then progresses to the community level, fostering discussions to identify and dismantle structures that impede societal advancement, eventually tackling broader public concerns with proposed solutions.
