Bali (Indonesia) - Morocco's Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, is representing His Majestly King Mohammed VI, May God assist Him, at the second Indonesia-Africa Forum (IAF), which is being held in Bali on September 2nd and 3rd. The work of this second edition, held under the theme "The Spirit of the Bandung Conference for Africa's Agenda 2063," was launched on Monday by Indonesian President Joko Widodo, in the presence of several heads of state, heads of government, and African ministers. This Forum aims to serve as a platform to strengthen economic cooperation between Indonesia and the African continent, which is considered a key economic partner of the Asian country, following the success of the first IAF in 2018. During this event, participants will explore ways to lay the foundations for an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable relationship between Indonesia and Africa. In 1955, Indonesia hosted the Asia-Africa Conference in Bandung, located 1 80 km southeast of Jakarta. This historic meeting gave rise to the Bandung Spirit, a set of principles aimed at promoting national sovereignty, equality among nations, and international cooperation without foreign interference. It also laid the groundwork for sustainable cooperation between Asian and African nations by promoting values of justice, solidarity, and mutual respect. Source: Agence Marocaine De Presse
