According to a report published by Disrupt Africa, African start-ups operating in the field of financial technologies (fintechs) raised funds totaling $2.7 billion between July 2021 and June 2023. The document adds that Nigerian start-ups captured more than a third of the funding injected into fintechs on the continent during the 24 months under review.
