Kigali - President of the Higher Council for Education, Training and Scientific Research, Habib El Malki, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI in Kigali on Sunday at the investiture ceremony of Rwanda's president, Paul Kagame. Kagame was re-elected for a 4th term following the presidential election held last July, where he won in the 1st round with over 98% of the vote. The ceremony was attended by several heads of State and government, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Rwanda and other high-level personalities. El Malki was accompanied at the ceremony by HM the King's ambassador to Rwanda, Youssef Imani. HM King Mohammed VI sent a message of congratulations to His Excellency Paul Kagame on his re-election as president of the Republic of Rwanda. In this message, the Sovereign expresses His warmest congratulations and His best wishes for continued success to Kagame in his presidential duties. HM the King congratulated Paul Kagame on the Rwandan people's renewed trust in his competences and his ability to lead them towards further achievements, progress and prosperity. The Sovereign took this opportunity to reaffirm His firm determination to continue to work with the president of the Republic of Rwanda to strengthen the fraternal relations rooted in mutual esteem between the two countries, and to reinforce the fruitful Moroccan-Rwandan cooperation, serving both people's shared interests and promoting integration and solidarity between African countries.
