E-Governance: Tunisia, South Africa, and Gabon lead in 2024

Tunisia, South Africa, Gabon, Mauritius, and Ghana stand out as regional leaders in online administration, according to the '2024 Online Administration Survey' by the United Nations. These countries, already performing well in 2022, continue to demonstrate their expertise. Tunisia has moved up one position, now ranking third in Africa, compared to fourth last year, according to the FIPA (Foreign Investment Promotion Agency). With an Online Administration Development Index (OADI) above the African average (0.4247), these nations are approaching the global average (0.6382). Their success is based on robust telecommunications infrastructure, developed human capital, and efficient online services, serving as a model for the continent.
