Comprehensive National Dialogue: The President of the Republic invites representatives of trade unions to participate in the next dialogue

Comprehensive national dialogue is a demand that concerns everyone, and based on the interest of the Chairman of the Transitional Military Council in the comprehensiveness of the dialogue and its inclusion of all components of society, and considering that trade unions are one of the most important components of society and an effective partner for the government in capacity-building and development of the country, the President of the Republic, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, met with the social partners Who represent the various trade unions in the country, the social pact, workers’ rights, improving living conditions, and social issues that will be raised during the comprehensive national dialogue scheduled for August 20th. The President of the Republic expressed his deep thanks to the social partners for their commitment to the agreement concluded in January of the year 2020, as well as the Social Pact signed in October 2021. The President of the Republic said that what the trade union members did is a patriotic act that reflects a sense of responsibility and concern for the nation’s interest. He also called on them to participate. active in the national dialogue.

After leaving the interview, which lasted for about an hour, the members of the union councils expressed their determination to build a unified Chad through their participation in the upcoming national dialogue.

The successive meetings held by the President of the Transitional Military Council, the President of the Republic, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, with various living forces in order to urge them to participate in the dialogue with all credibility and to plan for a new stage after the national dialogue, reflect the strong will of the Transitional Military Council to build a strong and coherent state in line with the hopes of and aspirations of all her children.
