Abu Dhabi: The President of Chad, Marshal Mohamed Idriss Déby Itno, welcomed His Excellency Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), at his residence in Abu Dhabi. This significant meeting occurred alongside the launch of Chad's National Development Plan, "Connecting with Chad 2030," which was part of the UAE-Chad Trade and Investment Forum held on November 10th and 11th, 2025, in the UAE capital.
According to Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, the discussions focused on the outcomes of Chad's National Development Plan and the nation's initiatives to boost trade and investment. President Déby Itno expressed gratitude to Mr. Taha for leading a high-level OIC delegation to the launch ceremony. He highlighted the critical role of enhancing cooperation between Chad and the OIC, particularly in relation to supporting Chad's developmental ambitions outlined in the National Development Plan.
