The day after his arrival in the Emirati capital, the President of the Transitional Military Council, General MAHAMAT IDRISS DEBY ITNO met this morning with his counterpart Sheikh MOHAMED BEN ZAYED AL-NAHYANE at the presidential palace. The exchanges between the two statesmen focused on strengthening the ties of cooperation and friendship between Chad and the United Arab Emirates.
Chad and the United Arab Emirates, these are several decades of political support on the international scene, but also relations of friendship and cooperation between in the fields of education, the economy in all its extent , the environment, civil aviation, diplomacy and security, to name but a few.
It is to strengthen these different areas of cooperation but also to extend them to other areas that the two Heads of State, General MAHAMAT IDRISS DEBY ITNO and Sheikh MOHAMED BEN ZAYED AL-NAHYANE, alongside some of their close associates decided to meet.
Economic exchanges between Chad and the United Arab Emirates, which have experienced significant growth in recent years, will be boosted. Emirati investors are invited to Chad to explore business opportunities in view of the country’s potential.
With regard to the environment, the President of the Transitional Military Council, General MAHAMAT IDRISS DEBY ITNO welcomed the dynamic cooperation which has enabled the reintroduction into their biotope of 25 oryx al gazelles of Chadian origin in captivity since the 1960s in Abu Dhabi.
It is therefore under the seal of renewal, for more vitality in the relations of friendship and cooperation between Chad and the United Arab Emirates, that the two Presidents exchanged at random.
Friendship and cooperation is also the meaning of compassion. During the meeting, the Head of State, General MAHAMAT IDRISS DEBY ITNO expressed his condolences and those of the Chadian people to the Emirati people for the death of the Emir Sheikh KHALIFA BEN ZAYED AL-NAHYANE which occurred on 13 last May and congratulated Sheikh MOHAMED BEN ZAYED AL-NAHYANE for his accession to power, while invoking Allah to inspire him in his high office.
