On October 7, Botswana unveiled its first batch of locally assembled electric vehicles in Gaborone, thanks to a partnership with two Chinese companies. Skywell and CHTC Kinwin are collaborating with the Botswana Technology Research and Innovation Institute (BITRI) to produce electric SUVs and buses.
