Veteran Highlife musician and National Democratic Congress (NDC) Spokesperson on Tourism and Creative Arts, Rex Omar, has lambasted the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia for not apologising to Ghanaians for what he described as failing the country. Rex Omar's comment was made during a discussion of the NPP's 2024 manifesto launch on UTV's United Showbiz. Mr. Rex Omar insisted that Dr Bawumia, who is the head of the country's Economic Management team has not proven to be credible over the years. He remarked, 'When they write convoluted promises like these, how can people take them seriously? Is Bawumia going to issue diplomatic passports to creatives or dictate how other countries should accept them? Even some of our diplomats face rejection abroad.' He listed some of his promises that have yet to be fulfilled. 'You promised to build ultramodern theatres in 2016 but haven't delivered even one. There hasn't been an apology or an explanation for this failure,' Rex Omar added. Source: Ghana Web
