Abuja: The National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced a change in the venue for its upcoming National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting scheduled for Thursday. The meeting, initially set to take place at the party's national secretariat on Blantyre Street, Wuse 2, Abuja, will now be held at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
According to News Agency of Nigeria, the change in venue was due to logistical reasons, as communicated by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Felix Morka, in a brief statement issued on Wednesday. The meeting is expected to focus primarily on the nomination and ratification of a new national chairman for the party.
This development follows the resignation of the party's former national chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, on June 27. Ganduje stepped down reportedly due to health reasons, which led to Abubakar Dalori taking over as the acting national chairman of the APC.
