Abuja: The Plateau State Governor, Caleb Muftuang, has endorsed the Luft Pay TV, saying it will boost local initiatives in the country. Muftuang shared his thoughts during the grand opening and dinner of Luft Pay TV, a television service, on Sunday in Abuja. He emphasized the significance of promoting local initiatives, variety, and quality within the Nigerian entertainment industry. According to News Agency of Nigeria, Muftuang stated, "We should be able to give people qualitative options. At very economic prices, we must be able to share profit with the people who make business profitable. I salute this initiative and I want to encourage Nigerians to patronise Luft TV. It is a great initiative." The endorsement was further supported by Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, who highlighted the timeliness of Luft TV's introduction to Nigeria. Drawing parallels with telecommunication service providers in the country, Sule noted that the platform's pay-per-view model offers users the flexibility to select and pay for specific content, which is particularly beneficial during economically challenging times. Sule also emphasized, "The content that is going to come from you has to focus on news, our youth, sports, documentary, history, and most importantly, the culture and the media." Earlier at the event, the founder of Luft Pay TV, Dr. Bright Echefu, announced that the launch marks a new era of entertainment for Nigeria. Echefu explained that this innovative platform is designed to deliver both global and local content tailored to meet the varied needs of Nigerian audiences. The service boasts cutting-edge technology, offering crystal-clear HD quality, multi-device compatibility, and an affordable subscription plan. Echefu added, "Our services offer an unparalleled entertainment experience, featuring thrilling Nollywood blockbusters, live sports action, international news, reality shows, and a dedicated Kiddies Channel for children's education and entertainment. Our motto, 'Together Forever,' reflects our ded ication to connecting Nigerians across distances, providing a sense of home and community through exceptional television."
