Chad / Republic of Togo: Chairman of the Transitional Military Council receives a written message from his Togolese counterpart

Another series of meetings fall in favor of the comprehensive national dialogue, but this time at the regional level. As the date of the national dialogue approached, Faure Yassengbe Yadima, President of the Republic of Togo sent a written message to his Chadian counterpart, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno, which was carried by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of the Republic of Togo, Mr. Robert Doce.

The message contained various aspects of cooperation between Lomé and N’Djamena, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations, especially in regional, sub-regional and international spaces. The message also carried a close acquaintance with the ongoing preparations for holding a comprehensive national dialogue scheduled for the twentieth of August.

After the meeting, the Togolese minister said, “I came with the message from President Faure Yassengbe Yadima to his counterpart, Chairman of the Transitional Military Council, President of the Republic, Head of State, Lieutenant-General Mohamed Idriss Deby Itno. The comprehensive national dialogue in Chad and my country Togo is mediating between the people of Chad, especially some of the Chadian military opposition, which confirmed its desire to participate in the comprehensive national dialogue. We are also closely following the process of the preliminary dialogue taking place in the Qatari capital, Doha.

She also conveyed to the President of the Transitional Military Council, the President of the Republic, the head of state, the support and support of the Speaker of Parliament and the entire Togolese people, and the blessing of the comprehensive dialogue that will bring the people of Chad together at one table.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chadians Abroad, Mrs. Awatef Al-Tijani Ahmed Kibro, a number of the assistants of the Chairman of the Transitional Military Council, the President of the Republic, the President of the State, in his civil office.
