123 new officers promise to ‘continue the patriotic struggle’

123 second lieutenants who have just completed their training at the Georges Namoano military academy, made a commitment to continue the patriotic struggle waged by Burkina Faso, at the ceremony of presentation of their epaulettes, yesterday Friday, at Camp Guillaume Ouédraogo in Ouagadougou. "We are committed to continuing the patriotic struggle like our predecessors, wherever duty calls us," declared the 123 new second lieutenants, quoted by the communications department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces. The new officers, including 11 female personnel, include 62 second lieutenants from the 8th class of Officer Cadets from the ranks and 61 second lieutenants from the 14th class of Specialized Officer Cadets. The ceremony of awarding the epaulettes took place under the presidency of Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans.
