Marrakech - HM King Mohammed VI's Throne Day speech set out a strategic roadmap for sustainable water management, according to Abderrahman Belgourch, lecturer at Marrakech's Faculty of Legal, Economic and Social Sciences (FSJES). This roadmap revolves around technological innovation, specialized training, rationalization of water use and regional development in order to meet current and future environmental challenges, Belgourch told MAP. In his speech, His Majesty the King also stressed the importance of rationalizing the use of water resources and combating the waste of this vital resource, he added. The Royal speech, which deals with a global challenge with local repercussions, namely the consequences of climate change, particularly drought and water stress, is a mobilizing speech calling for vigilance in the face of the internal and international challenges facing Morocco, Belgourch stated.
