The hosts of the humorous Facebook page called 'Les Ablaceries du Faso' were received yesterday in Ouagadougou by the Minister of State, Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection, Bassolma Bazié, occasionally asked to sponsor a relaxation and humor event, planned for September. Calling themselves 'Dabarians', 'Dabarians', the leaders of Ablaceries du Faso asked Minister Bassolma to sponsor 'The Solemn Appeal of the Holy Father', a humorous meeting scheduled for September 21, 2024 on the outskirts of Ouagadougou. 'The Minister of State is very active on our Facebook page, the content of which he knows very well. We came to see him so that he could associate his image with this ceremony and show society that despite one's responsibilities and occupations, one must often relax; you have to decompress. This helps to boost a company's performance,' explained Mariam Zougmoré, member of the 'Dabarian community', cited by the minister's communications service. Minister Bazié accepted the request to s ponsor 'The solemn appeal of the Holy Father' considering that it is a mark of consideration for his person, still according to the same source. Les Ablaceries du Faso, a page with some 120,000 followers, regularly parodies national news and the actions and declarations of the main actors. The name of the page is reminiscent of Ablassé Ouédraogo, born in the commune of Dabaré and who was Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Director General of the World Trade Organization, president of the Le Faso Autre party and unsuccessful candidate in the presidential election from 2015. Asked in 2015 by Jeune Afrique about his strengths to win the presidential election, Ablassé Ouédrago gave answers considered left-leaning and mockingly described as 'ablasserie'. The person concerned did not recognize his comments as broadcast by the French media. Source: Burkina Information Agency
