Ramallah - Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency awarded on Tuesday at the Independence Garden of Ramallah the Courage and Bravery Medal to President of Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS), Nasser Abu Baker, as a tribute to the sacrifices of Palestinian journalists in defense of freedom, justice and peace. The medal was awarded by the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency at a ceremony to mark the PJS centenary, as part of the second edition of the 'Al-Quds Asharif' Award for journalistic excellence in development media, which it organized on May 7 in Rabat. Speaking on the occasion, the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency's programs and projects coordinator, Ismail Ramli, stressed that the Agency, in line with the High Royal Directions, remains committed to supporting the Palestinians and defending their cause. 'At the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency, we work daily in the field, sharing your joys and sorrows, and continue, in accordance with the High Guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds C ommittee, to stand by your side,' he stressed. A memorial to the martyred journalists was unveiled during the ceremony, which was attended by the representative of the Palestinian President, Wasel Abu Yousef, the Governor of Ramallah and Al-Bireh, Laila Ghannam, the Moroccan Ambassador to Palestine, Abderrahim Meziane, as well as several members of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the central committee of the Fatah movement, ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps, dozens of journalists and representatives of the International Federation of Journalists.
