Ouagadougou: A government mission led by General Coulibaly, Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, met with the vital forces of the Sanmatenga province on September 14, 2024 in Kaya. After a minute of silence in memory of the compatriots who fell under the murderous bullets of the terrorists, the Minister of State, Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, head of the mission, delivered the message of congratulations and encouragement from the Head of State. The unity of the daughters and sons of Burkina, without any distinction, social cohesion, solidarity and above all individual and collective commitment in the current struggle were the key words of the message delivered by the Minister of State in charge of Defense. Direct exchanges allowed participants to express, without taboo, their concerns regarding the security situation. The head of the mission, supported by Timtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism, government spokesperson, Robert Lucien Jean Claude Kargougou, Minister of Health, and Boubacar Savadogo, Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training, was able to provide satisfactory answers, giving confidence to the audience regarding the outcome of the fight for total liberation initiated by the Head of State. The mission engaged the individual and collective responsibility of the vital forces in all areas of the fight for the reconquest of Burkinabe territory. Speaking of the Barsalogho tragedy, General Kassoum Coulibaly wanted to be reassuring. "The Barsalogho tragedy should not entertain us, on the contrary, we must close ranks and join hands. We are on a difficult path, everything will be done to discourage us, but we must remain standing. We must unite, we must form a block for an imminent victory." "No Burkinabe is abandoned, no piece of land in Burkina Faso is neglected. The State is trying to do its best, with security as a priority," added Minister of State Timtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, who stressed that great efforts are being made in terms of equipment and operation of troops for the reconquest of the national territory. At the end of five hours of discussions, deemed frank and satisfactory by Naaba Koom, head of the Sanmatenga canton, the head of the mission affirmed that he would not make political promises in the face of the grievances expressed by the active forces. "We have taken good note, the government will do what it can as far as possible," he concluded. Colonel-Major Z. Blaise Ouédraogo, governor of the Centre-North region, praised the willingness of the government to listen to all Burkinabe without any distinction. "It i s up to the people to understand the issues that threaten our country," he declared before expressing the hope that at the end of this meeting, individual responsibility will be the daily concern of each citizen in order to meet the challenges facing all. Upon its arrival in Sandbondo, the mission met with the fighting forces of the military region, giving them the encouragement and unwavering support of the President of Faso.
