Rabat - Members of the Executive Committee of the Parliamentary Union of Member States of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (PUIC) praised the efforts of the Al-Quds Committee, under the chairmanship of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, in support of Palestinian resilience. In the 'Rabat Declaration' issued following the Committee's 52nd meeting, held on Tuesday at the Moroccan Parliament, participants expressed their gratitude to the Al-Quds Committee, chaired by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, for their efforts to bolster resilience of Palestinians in Al-Quds, to sustain services and to preserve the Islamic heritage and Palestinian existence in the holy city. In this context, members of the Executive Committee warned against any alteration of the status quo in Al-Quds Al-Sharif, highlighting the importance of these holy places for the Islamic Ummah. They also condemned the terrorist acts perpetrated against several African countries in th e Sahel region and reiterated their support for these nations in their fight against terrorism, while calling for international mobilization to provide assistance necessary to eliminate terrorist and separatist groups that threaten peaceful populations and legitimate institutions. The agenda for the two-day meeting included the election of the Bureau, the adoption of the agenda and work program, the reading and adoption of the Secretary General of the Union's report, the establishment of the draft agenda of Permanent Specialized Committees and Sub-Committees, in addition to the adoption of the draft agenda of the 26th General Committee of the Union and the 19th PUIC Conference.
