In an attempt to clamp down on smuggling activities, operatives of the National Security and the task force of Ghana Cocoa Board, in a joint operation, have seized a petrol tanker filled with bags of cocoa beans. According to a post shared on X by SIKAOFFICIAL, the tanker attempted to smuggle bags of cocoa beans from the Volta Region of Ghana to Togo. Some individuals in the video were seen lifting heavy bags believed to be cocoa beans from the petrol tanker. 'In a joint operation, National Security operatives and the COCOBOD task force have intercepted a fuel tanker smuggling cocoa beans from the Volta Region into neighbouring Togo,' the post stated.
