Zagreb - Under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Morocco has transformed itself into a "leading country on the African continent,' said Croatia's former Foreign Minister, Miro Kovac. "The wise approach of His Majesty the King to transforming Moroccan society and economy has enabled the kingdom to become a major player in the global economy," Mr. Kovac told MAP on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the Sovereign's enthronement. Since the enthronement of His Majesty the King, he stated, "Morocco has become a resilient country that has successfully implemented far-reaching social and economic reforms." Today, Morocco's stature on a global scale, and in Africa in particular, is the illustration of an 'incredible transformation that the Moroccans can be proud of,' Mr. Kovac added. The former FM also noted that Zagreb and Rabat have excellent bilateral relations which "should be enhanced by deepening cooperation in fields such as renewable energy, railroad infrastructure, military and civil aviation, shipbuilding, agriculture, and tourism." "Being the gateway to South-Eastern Europe and to Africa, respectively, Croatia and Morocco should seize the opportunity of intensifying their overall cooperation relationship in a world becoming more complex and fragmented," he concluded.
