"Its blend of Roman and Islamic monuments embodies the succession of civilizations that have passed through the city," writes "Novini 247," highlighting the many tourist attractions of the Kingdom's capital. "With its architecture dating back to 1184, the city is one of the oldest in the world. Its many monuments from different periods of Moroccan history attract tourists from all over the world," notes the Bulgarian news website. The media outlet reports that Rabat is one of 124 World Heritage sites to be assessed for the state of its conservation at the 46th meeting of UNE SCO's World Heritage Committee, taking place from July 21 to 31 in New Delhi, India. In 2012, UNESCO included the city of Rabat on its World Heritage List in recognition of its historical and cultural value, recalls the media, noting that the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with UNESCO, is working to protect and restore historic sites to ensure their survival.
